A man flew thousands of miles to be able to massage a teenage boy’s back, according to police in New Jersey.
The Port Authority Police of New York and New Jersey announced that they have arrested 34-year-old Sherwin Shayegan of Bothell, Washington, after being accused of assaulting the 14-year-old boy at the Newark Liberty International Airport.
Shayegan has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the police investigation, Shayegan flew into Newark Airport on Friday from Washington with a JetBlue flight.
At around 3:00 p.m., while waiting for his luggage, Shayegan approached the 14-year-old boy from behind and massaged his back.
When Shayegan was done, he handed the boy an envelope containing cash and alarming content.
Police did not specify the nature of the alarming content.
The boy reported the incident to a JetBlue employee who notified the police.
Shayegan was located in the Marriott Hotel at Newark Airport.
Police found numerous envelopes containing cash and notes in his hotel room.
In Washington, Shayegan is known as the piggyback bandit.
Shayegan appeared at numerous schools and persuaded young athletes to give him piggyback rides.
He was also accused of unlawfully touching the young athletes in locker rooms.
As a result, Shayegan was banned from schools in five states, North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Washington, and Oregon.
