A large group of people gathered in an attempt to save the lives of teenage students who were on their way to school.

The 4 students in Uganda were on their way to pick up the results of their exam that had been released by the UNEB (Uganda National Examinations Board).

The teens recorded themselves as they were in good spirits. They joked and laughed while riding in a vehicle.

Moments after the students uploaded the video to Facebook, the car crashed into a stationary truck. Three students died at the scene while one was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Uganda Police Force wrote on Facebook: “A Toyota Brevis, silver grey in color carrying 4 students of Ndejje Senior Secondary School, rammed into a dump truck that was parked on the side of the road while loading bricks at 11:00 a.m. on mile 19 Bombo, Luwero district.”

The teens who were killed were between 15 and 17-years-old. The driver was identified as Vincent Male. His passengers, Mark Ndugga and Isaac Sserwanja, died at the scene while Timothy Nyogera died at the hospital.

According to family members, Male took his mother’s car without permission. The teen filled the car with gas.

They then went out to eat and headed to get their exam results when they crashed.

According to the initial police investigation, speeding was the cause of the car crash.
