An elderly woman who could not take the noise made by her neighbors’ children decided to shoot a gun at them, according to police in California.
The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 84-year-old Betty Frances Sanders after being accused of threatening little children with a gun.
Sanders has been charged with assault with a firearm and child endangerment.
She was booked into jail and her bail has been set at $50,000.
According to the police investigation, Sanders and her husband live in a home located in the 16000 block of Dot Lane.
Angela Rollins, and her three children, all under 10-years-old, live next door to Sanders.
At around 9:00 p.m., on Friday, Sanders her noise coming from her neighbors and went outside to investigate.
She noticed Rollins’ three children were making a lot of noise with a motorcycle.
She told them to be quiet and they started arguing.
Sanders went back to her home and came out with a gun.
She fired a shot towards the three children.
Luckily, nobody was injured.
Police officers who arrived at the scene recovered the weapon form Sanders’ home.
