Daycare teacher waxes eyebrows of young girl and boyBy Tanya Clark 8:56 AM February 8, 2018
Two mothers filed police reports after their young children came home from daycare with their eyebrows waxed.
Alyssa Salgado and Glenda Maria Cruz are mothers to 2-year-olds who were students at the Columbia Basin Community College in Washington.
The school has a daycare called Boys & Girls Club that is licensed by the Washington State Department of Early Learning, where students can drop off their children while they attend school.
The mothers did so every day without incident but that changed when their children came home with their eyebrows waxed.
Salgado and Cruz showed before and after photos of their children who had unibrows before being waxed in school.
The concerned mothers said that they called the school to demand answers as to why their kids’ eyebrows were waxed, but instead of sympathy, the school official “laughed in their faces, accused them of being liars, and said that she trusts her staff.”
After filing the reports, police, the Washington State Department of Early Learning, the licensing agency for childcare centers, and the Boys & Girls Club began investigating the incident.
