A crazy man killed an aspiring young model and chopped up her body, according to police in Oregon.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 35-year-old Jeremiah “Jerry” Johnston after being accused of murdering 28-year-old Sara Zghoul of Aloha.
On Thursday, the inter-agency Washington County Major Crimes Team received information regarding a possible homicide.
Initial reports indicated that the victim’s body had been left inside a luxury vehicle.
Detectives searched a neighborhood in Aloha and found the involved vehicle on a residential street near the intersection of Southwest Sarala Street and Southwest
Detectives obtained a warrant to search the vehicle and recovered the body of Zghoul inside two suitcases.
Johnston was identified as the person behind the murder.
Police believe that Johnston killed Zghoul before chopping up her body and placing her in two suitcases.
He then placed the suitcases in the BMW and abandoned the vehicle.
Johnston was caught after people heard him screaming in the street.
When officers approached, he slashed his throat and wrists.
Johnston was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
He was then arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail.
He was charged with homicide and abuse of a corpse.
He is being held without bail.
Zghoul came from Jordan to the United States to seek a better life for herself.
She graduated from college, got married, and worked as a model.
She left behind one child.
