A school principal was jailed, and he lost his job and his wife after he was caught taking upskirt photos of children at a Walmart.

Loss prevention officers at Walmart in Wethersfield, Connecticut, called police after seeing a suspicious man in their store.

They believed the man was going to shoplift, but what the officers discovered was far more disturbing.

Hartford Deputy Chief Brian Foley said that 49-year-old
John Bean was using an iPhone that belonged to the school district to take upskirt photos of young girls.

The girls were between 6 and 12-years-old. The officer confronted the suspect who gave them a false name and refused to hand over the password to his phone.

After officers received a warrant, they found the upskirt videos on the iPhone and a school-issued laptop.

Bean resigned from his job as school principal at Highcrest Elementary School and his wife filed for divorce.

He now pleaded guilty to 2 counts of voyeurism and was sentenced to two years in prison and ten years of probation.
