A teenager flew into a rage and killed his girlfriend’s dog by hanging it from a metal pole, according to police in Missouri.
St. Louis County police said that they have arrested 19-year-old Christopher Brown after being accused of destroying his girlfriend’s home and killing her puppy.
Brown has been charged with domestic assault, felony animal abuse, and property damage.
He was booked into the St. Louis County Jail and his bail has been set at $25,000.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Saturday at a home located in the 10400 block of Count Drive.
Brown and his girlfriend got into an argument.
Brown then put his hands around his girlfriend’s neck and squeezed.
The woman had difficulty breathing.
The woman managed to break free and she ran to a neighbor’s house, where she called the police to report the domestic assault.
When police entered the home, they were shocked to find the victim’s puppy hanging from a pole.
The dog was declared dead at the scene.
Police also discovered property damage and the woman’s possessions were thrown all around the house.
The woman told the police that when she left the home, the dog was still alive and the property was in perfect condition.
