A young boy lost his life at the hands of two cruel sisters over a cupcake.

The sisters, Glenndria Morris, 25, and Lashirley Morris are now facing charges of murder over the death of 3-year-old Kejuan Mason.

According to police, Lashirley repeatedly hit the 3-year-old boy in the head and on his body with a baseball bat while his sister slapped him with her hand.

Police were called to a home on Cleveland Avenue in southwest Atlanta, Georgia. They found paramedics performing CPR on the child.

At that time, the boy’s guardian, Glenndria Morris, told police that the boy choked on a cupcake.

However, she and her sisters gave different accounts of the incident.

The boy was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office found that Mason died of blunt force trauma. They also found injuries consistent with long-term abuse.

Police arrested both sisters who were indicted for felony murder, aggravated assault, and cruelty to children.

They are facing life in prison if convicted of the charges.
